  • In sadness, self-esteem is usually maintained. In major depression, feelings of worthlessness and guilty are common.
  • In sadness , thoughts of death come when the deceased was very dear to the person. In major depression, the person has thoughts of dying because of feeling worthless or unworthy of life or unable to cope with the pain of the depression.

Vata Imbalanced

If there is too much Vata in your diet or daily routine, then your Vata is imbalanced and prone to depression.

Symptoms :

cry easily, insomnia, loss of libido, fear and anxiety ,Restlessness, loss of appetite, weight loss, body ache, headache, talk excessively.

Treatement of vata imbalanced

You can get rid of this depression by balancing vata.

      • you should avoid vata-stimulating foods.
      • Raw foods, hard, astringent tastes should be avoided.
      • Cooked foods with sweet, salty and sour tastes should be eaten.

Kapha Imbalaced

When there is an imbalance of kapha in a person diet or lifestyle, the Kapha-type depression is born.

Symptoms :

feeling lethargic, desire to eat more, speak very little, sleeping too much, have a bad attitude, weight gain, Negative thoughts.

Kapha responds by

      • Heaviness
      • Darkness
      • Anxiety

Treatement of kapha imbalanced
